Results of the "Round Long Island Race - 2026"

 

This year will be known of many things that will probably change this regatta in the future:

​

- The starting point moved to Teleščica bay on the Dugi otok (Long island), which makes the race 30Nm shorter (all together 100Nm), but not easier.

 

- We manage to count more then 30 boats on the entry list which is the absolute record of entries, on the ent 27 boats racing;

​

- 8 countries on the starting list CRO, SLO, SUI, GER, MDA, SVK, CZE, AUT;

​

- For the first time the "double-handed" class was opened, and we have three boats in it;

 

- We have on the start VOR 65 which is absolute the biggest and the fastest boat on this regatta so far;

​

- strong to moderate Bora (NE), let the boats sailing fast and the crews to enjoy the stairy night, rounding the three most imposant lighthouses on their route from start to finish;

​

As expected "line of honours" has been pased after exactly 11h and 22min (04:22:11), by BigSky (VOR65), skippered by Marjan Kočila which team decided to "play fair" and took the trophy of the fastest boat and not the general winner title! GREAT JOB GUYS, and thank you for take part!

The overall winning boat was ENIGMA, with team from JK Senj (CRO) and skipper: Marko Grzetić, sailing time: 14:55:34
